I was fortunate to grow up in a special time and place, being a Millennial of the late 90s and the 2000s. I grew up in the villages of Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates, Illinois. I attended Districts 54 and 211 schools and joined the Boy Scouts of America, even attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. I currently attend the same church that my family has attended for 20 years.
After high school I earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from DePaul University and a master’s degree in higher and postsecondary education from Columbia University. Professionally, I’m a college administrator who has worked in higher education external relations, advancement, and academic affairs. My career can be defined by supporting young people’s successes.
My experience in higher education has reinforced, to me, the importance of clear standards, community engagement, and accountability in protecting institutions that serve students. Having grown up in this special time and place I care deeply about this community, the next generation, and the role Harper College plays with them.
