About Me

I was fortunate to grow up in a special time and place. I grew up in the villages of Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates, Illinois. I attended Districts 54 and 211 schools and joined the Boy Scouts of America, even attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. I currently attend the same church that my family has attended for 20 years.

After high school I earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from DePaul University and a master’s degree in higher and postsecondary education from Columbia University. Professionally, I’m a college administrator whose career can be defined by supporting young people’s successes.

My experience in higher education has reinforced, to me, the importance of clear standards, community engagement, and accountability in protecting institutions that truly serve their students. Having grown up in this special time and place I care deeply about this community and the role Harper College plays within it.
